AREA EVENTS:

Sept 16 - May 12 (2012) - Pirohi: The parishioners of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church will resume making Pirohi (potato & cheese or sauerkraut) on Friday, September 16th, 2011 through May 2012. Orders can be placed every Monday (beginning Monday, September 12th) after 9:00 AM until Thursday morning for Friday pick-up in the social hall located at 201 E. Main Street, Uniontown. The cost is $7.00 per dozen and includes the container. You may place your order by calling 724-434-5355. You are also welcome to come for lunch on Fridays from 11:00 AM—1:00 PM.

February 4 - Ethnic Dinner: St. Rose Church, Latrobe, will have an Ethnic dinner on Saturday, February 4th, at 5:00 PM in the parish hall. Serving 200 dinners of various German, Polish and Slovak foods.

February 15 - Continuing Lecture Series on Aging & Spirituality: Hosted by St. Vincent College on Wednesday, February 15th, at 3:00 PM in the Fred M. Rogers Center. The speaker is Jason King, Ph.D. , Chairperson, Theology Department, St. Vincent College. Topic: “Intimacy and Aging”. All are welcome to attend this FREE program. February18 - St. Therese Mardi Gras 2012: The annual St. Therese Mardi Gras will be held Saturday, February 18 at the Hopwood Social Hall. Evening will include Hors d’oeuvres, dessert, open bar, Mardi Gras beads, masks and more! Entertainment will be provided by Pittsburgh’s “No Bad Ju Ju” and Uniontown DJ “Paul McGrady.” Tickets are $60 per person. Dinner choices are Prime Rib or Chicken Kiev.
