Chapel of the Divine Mercy
The Ss. Cyril and Methodius Chapel of the Divine Mercy is located at Ss. Cyril and Methodius R.C. Church in Fairchance, PA. It was created in 2011 in preparation for the beatification of Pope John Paul II on Mercy Sunday of the same year.
The Chapel is open daily and is intended for the private devotion of the parishioners of the Partner Parishes of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church and St. Hubert Church, as well as parishioners from neighboring churches and visitors.
The Chapel provides prayerful surroundings for those who wish to take a quiet moment from the noisy world and spend it in private recitation of the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy or intercessory prayers to St. Faustina Kowalska, St. Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein), Blessed Fr. Michal Sopocko, and Blessed Pope John Paul II (Karol Wojtyla).
In addition to the quiet surroundings the Chapel provides all the prayer cards to the above mentioned Saints and Blessed, rosaries which can be used for the recitation of the Chaplet and CDs with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. All these items are free of charge and can be taken home with you. The 14 day votive candles are provided at $3.00 per candle.
There now is a "Audio Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska" in the Chapel for anyone to listen to. There is a copy available for loan to anyone that would like to listen at home. There is a audio CD player for loan if needed. Please call Dick Rugh. (724-880-6612)
The Partner Parishes wish to thank Fr. Andrew M.
