PASTORAL COUNCIL
The Partner Parish Pastoral Council and Staff held a retreat on July 8, 2011 at the Sisters of Charity Retreat Center in the mountains of Dunbar, Pa. As directed in the model for pastoral councils, 'New Wine, New Wineskins', and by the council's by-laws, the council must 'have opportunities to pray together in order to deepen one's individual and communal holiness'.
The retreat discussion was geared toward parish renewal, using the small group discussion materials from Growing Faith, "With Whom Do You Gather?" Council and Staff were able to generate many ideas surrounding the topic, including selection of parishioners who will serve on a Parish Mission Team.
